      Hi all,

      I have purchased a Netgate XG-7100-DT box and want to upgrade the RAM. Kindly ket us know the DDR memory specification. I have tried a PC2400 speed RAM. but its not booting

        AFAIK It's DDR4 2400MT/s non-ECC, 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB SODIMMs.

          I have tried Hynix HMA81GS6AFR8N-UH 8GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM , when power on it starts with high fan speed. Nothing showing in the console

            are you sure the module was working before? maybe try another brand if you can

              Yes its a working module from a laptop. Will try different brand

                When you change the RAM in the XG-7100 it will retrain at the next boot and it can take a while to do that. Much longer than you might expect. During that time it appears to be not booting. Just wait at least 10mins to be sure.
