@Jorge-riquelme-p said in Brand New sg-3100, first run, and don't work at all.:

    panic: ffs_valloc: dup alloc

it marks the disk clean when in fact it is not clean. To resolve this problem, you must bring the machine up single user and run a full fsck on it using fsck . This will find the hidden problem and correct it.

That can happen in rare cases if, say, the power is removed without a proper shutdown.

    /sbin/fsck -y /

    a few times (4 or 5)

    follow this direction

  • I went through this last week. It is not too hard. You have to have your console session ready before you power on the device, because you have to stop the Marvell boot loader when prompted and I think you only have a few seconds to do it. It comes up quick and if you are not paying close attention you will miss it you then have to shut it down and try again.

  • Netgate Administrator

Yes, the directions in that linked post should correct that for you but it you have any problems running that please open a ticket with us: https://go.netgate.com/
