SG-1100 DEAD AFTER 2.4.5-RELEASE Upgrade!
-
@stephenw10 Just had my SG-1100 lockup. Had to pull power cord and force a reboot.
Routing stopped, could not login to the UI... Could ping gateway, but was not able to browse the internet.
pFSense is now backup and running. I went in to the system logs and copied the last 1000 records. Will send them to the support email you provided.
Here's a snip of the logs right before it locked up.

@costanzo FYI Created ticket: #INC-47998

Yup, opening a ticket is the correct thing to do there.

I'm glad I found this thread. Mine took 17 minutes to reboot and I almost pulled the plug at around 8min, but wanted to see if others had long reboot times as well.
-
For me, the update went smoothly without any errors. However, the device took around 18 mins to reboot. I had seen this thread and therefore waited patiently. Its working fine after the update.
I am new to negate and I am surprised that it took so long. Is this pot update reboot time normal with netgate devices?

Same here :(

"The upgrade could take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes. Do not remove power to your firewall while the upgrade is in progress."Agree it would be better if it was a 10 minute timer on the upgrade countdown page, or mentioned in the upgrade docs. Overall I think it depends heavily on the storage write speed.

@teamits
It has nothing to do with "boot".
It keeps booting up. I have a screen connected through serial port. Then I found that the operating system does not have enough memory, and can not perform the upgrade.
The IT support (support@netgate.com) was very competent, and helped me to reinstall. After 15min my Netgate device is working again.
