Hi I have this issue whenever there was a power outage. My XG-7100 would take about an hour for DNS to work properly and this also happened on my previous pfsense install on desktop computer. I switched to XG-7100 because I though it would solve the issue but it did not. When there was a power outage we need to wait about an hour to get gmail or google. To cut waiting time for me I assign static google DNS 8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4 and then able to get to google site , gmail and other sites too. I cannot get to each individual to their static DNS since I would be alot more work. The ping worked fine to 8.8.8.8 but hostname

I hope someone can assist with this issue.

Do you have any packages installed which may be causing delays in DNS, such as pfBlockerNG and its DNSBL feature?

Are there any messages in the resolver log or system log which indicate what might be happening?

Does this only happen after a power outage, or any reboot?

I'm using pfBlockerNG with DNSBL. The DNS only happens with power outage. There is no issue with DNS resolve with reboot. I've done several reboot with no issue with DNS.
