      I have a Dell PowerEdge server R640 with two 10gb ports and two 1gb ports. I have installed pfSense 2.4.4 but the 10gb interface wont show up. I have installed pfSense 2.5.0-Development and the two 10gb interfaces show up. Is there a way to copy the drivers on to the /boot/kernel of pfSense 2.4.4?

        Not from 2.5. The drivers are all in-kernel and not modules in pfSense so you cannot copy them out. But even if you use FreeBSD 12-stable the modules would not load into the pfSense 2.4.X kernel. You would have to compile the driver that includes support for your NIC against FreeBSD 11-stable and then use that resulting module. That might involve significant coding to back-port it though.

          @stephenw10

          Thanks. Sounds a bit too complicated for me.

            Is this setup for some sort of enterprise production setup? If not you prob ok with just running 2.5, it is getting close to release I would think.. That could still be a good time off - but I am not aware of any roadblocks to using it.

            Just make sure you take good backups before updating to the latest snap, etc. In case a snap breaks something you can always roll back.

              It actually looks like that card should already be supported in 2.4.5. The driver is there.
