I was reading the netgate documentation about pfsense. It speaks about the downstream being affected if pfsense cannot acknowdlge the ack packet fast enough and this slows down the downstream I have a really bad upstream, so if I have some uploads going my download scrawls. I know there was a wizard configuration when settings this up where it helped to prioritize browser or just port 80 basically.

IF there something in traffic shaping that can tell pfsense to prioritize ack packet response in effort to increase my downstream?

The traffic shaper wizard should do that by default for you. https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/trafficshaper/index.html If that's all you want you can basically ignore the other options (e.g. VoIP or P2P).

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.
