Updated 2.4.5 > 2.5.0.r.20210213.0300 - Obtaining update status doesn't complete
-
Hi,
I updated from 2.4.5 to 2.5.0.r.20210213.0300 and everything seems to have gone OK generally.
However in the dashboard the "Obtaining update status" never completes. I have tried the solutions here:
https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/troubleshooting/upgrades.html
...but can't get it to work. When I got to "System> Update > System Update" it provides a "Status Up to date." message, but the Web GUI still has the gear icon spinning. I can also run an Option 13 update successfully that says "Your packages are up to date".
I don't know if it is related but "CPU usage: Retrieving CPU data.." is also hanging and doesn't provide a result.
Any suggestions as to how I can troubleshoot and fix?

OK, really weird... but I fixed the CPU status not showing by having to enable the "State Table Size" in the dashboard, as per the tip here...
https://forum.netgate.com/topic/160638/dashboard-cpu-usage-2-5-0-workaround-identified
And when I did it seems to have fixed the "Obtaining update status" as well.

I haven't seen that happen here, but you might force a cache refresh in your browser (ctrl-F5, shift+reload or similar). Otherwise you might need to check the browser JS console for errors.

Same problem here, I fixed it by enabling the "state table size" option which was previously disabled before the upgrade.
