    Hi,
I'm trying to restore the backup of my previous Netgate device onto a new one (the old one failed and got replaced, same model), but once I enter the old device key and click download on the latest backup in the list I'm getting the following error : "Could not decrypt config.xml".

What does this mean and what can I do to get my backup back ?

    Thanks

@xantra Did you enter the encryption password? It should prompt during restore...

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

Yeah, that pretty much has to be an incorrect encryption password.

I didn't get prompted by a request for an encryption password.

If you're restoring it in ACB it just uses whatever the configured password is and will fail with that error if it doesn't match.
