How can I copy config.xml from backup history when the device not booting to PfSense?
-
Hello Team,
I have a device SG-3100. While updating from 2.5.0 to 2.5.1, it got failed and could not boot to the PfSense. Now I connected using console cable with putty tool. I could see the config.xml files under backup of the last 5 months. I would like to copy those files to the pendrive, before I do anything. How can I copy those files?
Thanks,
Ram. -
My best suggestion is to cat the file and log the terminal session. From there you can clean up the output and resave as an .xml.

You can insert a usb stick, mount it, and copy the files off. A fat formatted stick works well.
