netgate 2100: sub domain pointing to my static IP
-
Hi, there I host my domain using google domain services.
I created a subdomain (x.mydomain.com) in google for my domain "pointing" to my STATIC IP. See screenshot below:How do I configure this in my netgate 2100 router?
Should I go to SERVICES -> DYNAMIC DNS and enter the details? See screenshot below
How do I determine the username / password?
Is the above approach correct?
OR
I also followed a second approach: Removed CNAME and Forward x.mydomain.com to my static IP in google domains? Well this works without configuring my router but when i enter x.mydomain.com the url shows my static IP -- not good.

@netboy Never mind....
This worked.
- Removed CNAME x.mydomain.com
- Configured Dynamic DNS in google domain for x.mydomain.com
- Used pfsense SERVICES -> DYNAMIC DNS and selected "google domains" and entered username and password and voila x.mydomain.com works and points to my server
Sorry for the confusing post.
