I picked up a X540-T2 NIC on ebay and wanted to use it with pfsense. I'm unable to get any link connectivity on it. After digging in I realized it was X540-AT2. Any ideas what to look for to see what the issue may be?

I have HPE 561T (X540-AT2) nic on my pfsense box (see my signature).
Working fine here.Can you try the card it in another computer and test some other known working nic in the pfsense box to rule out broken/incompatible card/pci-e slot?

Is this a original Intel NIC with the original Intel firmware?
If not you should try out to get hands on the original Intel Firmware and flash it on an Windows or Linux PC onto the
card (NIC) to prevent that art and wise of error.
