      Hi

      Just a beginner with a new 2100.

was running 22.0 and before I configured decided to upgrade to latest firmware.

Upgrade failed now device not operating.

Tried Factory reset using reset button but no joy!

Tried connecting to console via USB (using Mac) but not getting console.

      Any assistance would be appreciated.

@vassyp Would have posted in the Netgate hardware section…

It should show BIOS output. Double check your terminal speed? Did you try powering off? You can leave the terminal connected while powered off.

If you’re not seeing anything there’s something wrong. If the upgrade didn’t complete you can reinstall as a last resort:https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/solutions/netgate-2100/reinstall-pfsense.html

Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to reboot, or more depending on packages, and device or disk speed.

          Thanks

Finally got a terminal console to the unit and config.xml was corrupted and was 0 bytes.

          Reinstall resolved.
