Xg-7100 normal operating temperature
-
What is the normal operating temperature of a Xg-7100? Mine runs around 57c with nothing plugged into it? The two rear fans also never spin up
-
As reported by coretemp?
[23.09.1-RELEASE][admin@7100.stevew.lan]/root: sysctl -a | grep temperature dev.cpu.3.temperature: 42.0C dev.cpu.2.temperature: 41.0C dev.cpu.1.temperature: 40.0C dev.cpu.0.temperature: 42.0C
What loading does it have? What's the ambient temp?
The rear fans are very quiet at the lowest speed but they should always be running.

Thank you for the reply, These are the numbers I get after running the command. Ambient temp is between 68-70F
The rear fans never turned on all the times I have been looking at it even under a stress test when the temp do get hotter[23.09.1-RELEASE][admin@pfSense.home.arpa]/root: sysctl -a | grep temperature
dev.cpu.3.temperature: 49.0C
dev.cpu.2.temperature: 49.0C
dev.cpu.1.temperature: 48.0C
dev.cpu.0.temperature: 49.0C -
Like they never run at all? Even at power up? They definitely should be running.

Correct I’ve never seen them run even at power up. I tested the fans and they work but not in the 7100. Is there a way to command them on to see if the board is the issue?

My run all the tome on all 7100 that I have. Is connector connected to motherboard?Cable issue, or motherboard issue?

@GeorgeCZ58
Yeah both connectors are connected to the board. I've tested the fans and they work I'm starting to lean to a motherboard issue.
