ISC DHCP End of life
-
Hi guys!
At the moment under System/Advanced/Networking I have ISC DHCP as primary
What happens to all my settings if I just use Kea DHCP?
Do I need to make changes other than just choose Kea DHCP?bookie56

Check out any of the "Kea" related post in the DHCP forum : Home pfSense
Software DHCP and DNS
Read the announcement, the one you've seen on the pfSense dashboard (RSS feed) : Netgate Adds Kea DHCP to pfSense Plus Software Version 23.09 - this one will answer most of your questions.
-
- Download the installer
- Backup config
- Check the box and save.

imo
just ignore the ISC DHCP End of life warning as while it is correct, the pfsense replacement is not ready for production use. -
You can switch back easily if you find you need one of the ISC features that are not yet in Kea.
