You need to follow the wizard and allow it to finish.
-
yes i did let it finish but after finishing i always get this:
Going any further will wipe your existing shaper config! If you do not wish to continue, please click the pfSense logo at the top to return to the webConfigurator.
This wizard will guide you through setting up the pfSense traffic shaper.
it's like a never ending cycle.

I cannot reproduce this. After clicking next on the wizard it takes me to the next screen.

i know, it's wierd right? same thing with the installation process, i encountered some difficulty too, it keep on repeating a process that is already finished, does this mean that the iso i downloaded is corrupt?
-
Something is not correct. What that something is, I do not know :/

The last time I saw that bug, it was due to either a bad redirect after finding that your interfaces were bogus, or another error in the wizard. Either way, the only commit I saw that might be related was in June, well before RC2. Please test http://www.pfsense.com/~sullrich/1.0-SNAPSHOT-09-05-06/ and see if that fixes your issue. Thanks

I had this happen once. It was because in the first screen where you enter your connection speeds, the WAN and LAN boxes both had LAN in them by default. I did not notice this at first, but after making sure I selected WAN in the outgoing section, it worked fine.

my pfsense is acting a little strange, so i downloaded and installed a new pfsense iso, then i went on to configure traffic shaping but after finishing the wizard i could no longer surf, the traffic shaping does not need any rebooting, right? good thing i have a config back up w/o traffic shaping and restored it, and after a reboot, i can surf the internet again. there is definitely something wrong with my box, right?

Yep, sounds like you've got a broken clock. Not much we can do about that I think.
