Issues on re-install of system
-
Hi, i am having an issue getting pfsense to install. I had it successfully running on a dell optiplex 9020 in an active/standby cluster. Both systems have dual 256gb SSD's in them running zfs. Due to bad luck on my side, I had both SSD's fail around the same time on the primary system. The secondary system is working without issue right now.
I replaced the SSD's in the machine and am trying to reinstall pfsense again. When i run the install, i get to the part to select the storage configuration. If i pick zfs or udi, i get an error saying no disk. I can go to recovery mode from the installer and if i run gpart i see device ada0 and ada1. I was able to zero write to both SSD's without issue (used this command: dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/adaX bs=1M). i don't know why the pfsense installer can't see the drives but the OS can without issues. using a usb drive that was created from this file: netgate-installer-amd64.img.gz
FWIW, on the other 2 optiplex systems that are still running, both zfs pool names are zpool so i am guessing all 3 were setup around 2.4 or so.
