Upgrade from v. 24.11 to 25.07.1

Good morning,
I'd like to upgrade.

I read online that before upgrading, you need to uninstall all installed packages and reinstall them after upgrading pfsense.
The configuration of the various packages is saved after uninstallation and automatically restored when reinstalled.

I wanted to ask if this is true. Do I have to uninstall the packages before upgrading pfsense?

I've never uninstalled them in the past. What does this mean?
