pfsense 2.8.1 ISO
-
pfsense is reporting a new update from 2.8.0 to 2.8.1 but, there is not link to download pfsense 2.8.1 on the site. The site download is still reporting pfsense 2.8.0.
Will there be an ISO release for 2.8.1?
Please read the question carefully, since I'm not asking how to upgrade to the new version.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

@g405tsh311 the online installer you "buy" for $0 in the Netgate store gets the versions dynamically, 2.8.1 is among them.

Just adding a +1 here
My house is an absolute nightmare to have a monitor, keyboard AND internet feed all in the one place. I had to install pfsense CE while my wife physically held the monitor close enough for the cable to reach up into the cupboard (where the internet comes in) and I had to hold the keyboard in free air.
An offline install is extremely simple. It's just a matter of unplugging the pfsense box and plugging it in in another room where the monitor, keyboard and desk (but not internet) are.
We need an offline install option.

Well you can still install 2.7.2 from the legacy installer and then upgrade.
-
I am impressed that it was a simple question, and yet, you managed to still fail to answered it.
I didn't as for a network installation process and for the look of it, that means that every 3 releases, the oldest one will be eventually unavailable, and with that process, the other ones will eventually disappeared and if the need to install an old version is required, there will be not way to do so. -
While this is doable it will be impractical since eventually, for the way pfsense is driving, it will be impossible to upgrade from 2.7.2. I ran into that issue when mine crashed after upgrading to 2.8.1 and immediately after restoring from backup gave me an error because the old config.xml file was not comparable with the new 2.8.x series.
It is always good to have an offline version of the installation. Take for instance if a deploy it in a isolated test environment is needed, that would be a challenge without and offline installation.

@g405tsh311 the ISO you're asking for will never be available and the reason is explained in a thousand posts on this forum.
Maybe some admin should close this thread. -
It seems you are defending Netgate or just hurt feelings.
There are millions of posts all over the Internet regarding this particular subject and they are all pointing to business points of view. For what I am guessing, it is going to happen just like it happened to CentOS, MySQL, OpneSuSe and other opensource applications.
Since you neglected to point any of the posts, can you point some of the posts?
Seriously, requesting a moderator to close this chat???
If you don't like the subject, DON'T READ IT!!!P.S.
Here are more information about that:
"The change has created significant frustration among users because the online-only approach prevents installation in several scenarios, including:
High-security or classified environments that have no internet access.
Offline systems or networks that are intentionally disconnected from the public internet.
Installing older versions that may no longer be available.
Migrating installations in environments without an internet connection.
Due to the lack of offline installers, many users in the open-source community are migrating to alternative open-source firewall distributions, such as OPNsense. " -

Just another limited minded with narrow and low IQ.
If you want to pay go right ahead but, don't sit there claiming opensoure licensing while doing the opposite,
Do you even know what being entitle or spoiled actually is?
The people like you are crying and running to the cloud, that by the way, do you even know where that concept came from?, trying to save money, when in reality you are wasting it.
You are so brilliant arrogant user.
Again, DON'T READ THE POST!!
