Consigo comunicar com outro PC de outra VLAN pelo endereço IP mas não consigo pelo nome, exemplo:

consigo pingar, acessar explorer, etc. através do IP, mas o nome do PC não consigo, exemplo:
      \\10.10.1.3 - ok
      \\srvdados - não funciona

      minha rede:
      10.10.1.0/24 - lan
      10.40.1.0/24 - vlan 40
      10.50.1.0/24 - vlan 50

      10.10.1.1 - pfsense + nxfilter
      10.10.1.3 - servidor

      10.40.1.100 - meu pc

      no pfsense está configurado:
      dhcp server lan:

      • DNS: 10.10.1.1
      • Gateway: 10.10.1.1

      dhcp server vlan40:

      • DNS: 10.40.1.1
      • Gateway: 10.40.1.1

Se for Linux, no etc/resolv.conf, coloque:
        search home.arpa depois do nameserver.

(altere home.arpa para o seu domínio).

dead on arrival, nowhere to be found.

@mcury Thanks for the suggestion, but it's not feasible to do this on a large network with 1,600 computers. I saw a configuration that uses a firewall rule, but the example uses Active Directory servers 192.168.1.250 and 192.168.1.251... but I don't know how it would apply to my Pfsense + Nxfilter.

If you're using Active Directory (AD), configure AD’s DHCP and disable pfSense's DHCP. Use AD's DNS servers to manage name resolution. To integrate NxFilter, configure AD’s DNS server to forward requests to pfSense’s DNS resolver.
