      Hello
I was running pfsense 2.7 on HP BL460C gen10 blade server.
I tried to upgrade to latest 2.8 through pfsense cli, and it went to a kernel panic. So I decided to reinstall from scratch using latest netgate-installer-amd64.iso from https://shop.netgate.com/products/netgate-installer

Without success... system boots on iso, and displays this messages :

      9941dc1a-3727-42bb-9631-bfe51339c520-image.png

      ... and the server reboots.

I tried to reset BIOS to factory defaults but no more luck.
I have the exact same behavior on two BL460C servers. No problem when trying with same ISO on a VM.

Any idea about what can be wrong ?
      Regards
      Cédric

@Rico29 I assume you hit the same issue Update or Fresh install of 25.07 causes HP ProLiant DL20 Gen9

It seems to be an upstream issue which is (I think) not fixed but in some cases switching the BIOS from UEFI to legacy helps.

Seems to work in legacy mode. Is that a hardware issue or a pfsense installer issue ?

It's an upstream EFI bootloader issue.
