      Hello,

I successfully installed pfsense 1.2.3 but the boot process is stuck at :

      _F1 pfSense
      Default: F1

      _

I installed pfsense 1.2.2 on the same hardware, the boot process is stuck at the mountroot

      Manual root filesystem specification:
      <fstype>: <device>Mount <device>using filesystem <fstype>eg. ufs:da0s1a
? List valid disk boot devices
      <empty line="">abort manual input
      Mountroot></empty></fstype></device></device></fstype>

Once i specify the right root filesystem (ufs:ad1s1a) , the boot is successfull.

Anyone has an idea of the issue?

Edit : The hardware is a Fabiatech FX5624, didn't use embedded version

Try some of the suggestions here:

        http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Boot_Troubleshooting

Typically what you are seeing is due to the HDD controller, or BIOS settings for the HDD controller.

Disabling packet mode during boot block installation solved the issue.
