I am using pfsense 1.2.2 so far not upgrading to 1.2.3 because having this issue with MultiWAN in 1.2.3.

      I configure Multiwan as,

      WAN2FailtoWAN1   WAN1 ( 8.8.8.8 )
      (Failover)             WAN2 ( 8.8.4.4 )

      WAN1FailtoWAN2   WAN2 ( 8.8.4.4 )
      (Failover)             WAN1 ( 8.8.8.8 )

      LoadBalance          WAN1 ( 8.8.8.8 )
                               WAN2 ( 8.8.4.4 )

Everything work out fine. But when I try disconnect WAN1 (on purpose) the pool take less then 20 secs to show link down. Then I reconnect back WAN1 and WAN1 pool still show link down even after I waited for 1 - 2 hours. It just doesn't show link up again after disconnect but I can actually see there's traffic flowing in and out of WAN1 when I test download files.

In order to make WAN1 show link up (after disconnect) I may actually need to change the monitoring IP address of WAN1 ( 8.8.8.8 ) to something else on both failover and loadbalance pool and save the setting.

If anyone know solution to this issue please help. Thanks in advance.

What type of WAN is WAN1? DHCP? PPPoE? Static IP?

          Sorry to reply so late.

Both WAN1 and WAN2 are static IP.

          WAN1 IP = 10.1.1.2 Gateway 10.1.1.1 (Modem IP)
          WAN2 IP = 10.1.2.2 Gateway 10.1.2.1 (Modem IP)
