      2.0-BETA4  (i386)
      built on Thu Aug 26 00:12:24 EDT 2010
      FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE

      I recently replaced my hard drive to a Sata drive and upgraded to 2.0. My Drive is first detected at UDMA133 then ultimately ends at UDMA33. What's weird is I have a Freenas box based on freebsd7.2 and it is shown as UDMA133. The motherboard,processor,cipset and bios are identical.

      I then loaded PfSense 1.23 back on and it's detected as UDMA133.

      I chesck the Freebsd 8.1 Harware compatibility list as well as the ATA4 driver and the SIS965 chipset is supported.
      I tried to manually set it using atacontrol, but that got me nowhere.

      Below is my dmesg output…..any ideas??

      $ dmesg

        Don't worry, be happy! I expect its just a reporting issue because SATA drives don't use the IDE cables.

        Its probably worth lodging a FreeBSD PR (Problem Report) at http://www.freebsd.org/send-pr.html inclding both FreeBSD 7.1 and FreeBSD 8.1 startup output.

        I expect this particular chipset is not particularly common which could make it a challenge for the developers to test a fix.
