      Hi,

Hopefully someone on here can help, I am attempting to install pfsense 2 BETA5 on a Quad core box, that has 2 x Intel Quad port 1GB NICs.

However when I try7 and configure a interface the console just pumps out the message:

igbX: Could not setup receive structures.

I have done a bit of digging around and it looks to be a problem with the number of cores and the igb driver, however does anyone know any work arounds to get get this working?

I saw some comments on tweaking the driver .c file, however as its on a pfsense box I am not sure if that's a good idea.

well my pfsense boxes have both stopped working again, very frustrating.

Is the latest igb driver (http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=15815&lang=eng&wapkw=%2882575+driver%29) in the latest pfsense build?

Not 100% sure what to do really, the internal broadcomms seem to be working fine, so is it possible to unload or not load the igb driver for now? As I can work with the 4 internal interfaces until the igb drivers issues are fixed.

Try the modifications suggested here for /boot/loader.conf.local

I have the same issue moving from an old November build to RC-1 and an em interface.

Hosted desktops and servers with support without complication.
