2.0RC1 i386 full install : multi-wan and ftp server behind pfsense
-
I have an FTP server running behind the pfsense box which has two WANs.
I can confirm that since recently the transparent NAT for passive mode is working with the WAN on which is set up the default gateway in the routing setup of pfsense. But I also can confirm that passive mode fails on the other WAN. I see in the FTP client it receives the correct IP for the passive connection to establish, but it seems that the firewall rule is not opened as traffic is being blocked. And I can confirm that as soon as I switch both WANs (i.e. the secondary WAN becomes my default gateway) the behavior is switched as well. -
Please put proof on this.
It should follow the same route the parent is so gather the required info to debug/report this. -
Hi,
Can you assist me on what precise debug report you need for this ?
Alternatively I can give you remote access to the box if you prefer ? Might be quicker for you. -
Start by your snapshot date!
IF you are not on latest snapshot please go to the latest one.
Otherwise i need a state dump and rules.debug from your system to verify this is really happening. -
Might this be related to the route-to thing that cmb backed out of the patches file over the weekend?

I cannot see any 2.0RC1 released ???
-
Because it's not out yet. It's still Beta5.

I was using snapshots of 14th I have now upgraded to snapshot 2.0-BETA5 (i386) built on Mon Feb 21 23:20:11 EST 2011
(funny it reverted from RC1 to BETA5)The behavior is just the same I am afraid.
ermal I have PM'ed you
Thx for your support

It's not "funny" that it reverted, it was done on purpose… the "RC1" snapshot (there was only one) was deemed unworthy of the tag and it was rolled back. There are several threads about the change.

I confirm that my original symptoms are still reproduced under the latest snapshot (i386)
-
and I also confirm that the issue is not present if the sticky sessions option is disabled !
