To be honest, I find 1.2.3 a bit more stable and far more responsive than 2.0RC3. It maybe just me, but after trying RC snapshots since as early as Jan this year, I have started to like 1.2.3 better and despite trying the latest RC3 snapshots from time to time, I keep coming back to 1.2.3.

            jimp,
you twisted my words or you read it incorrectly.

I said "it may be just me" but I like 1.2.3 better than 2.0 despite trying the latest snapshots from time to time.

Also 1.2.3 HAS been extremely stable and responsive for me.

It still needs some additional code to allow it to be switched on/off or to auto detect it in order to prevent it showing some ugly error on machines without the correct hardware/driver.

                      Hi Steve!
                      How you are :)
Yes, fully understood and not expected by "tomorrow" if you understand what I mean.
Maybe in form of a package, then one can install if ones HW/drivers support one can install.
                      Cheers Steen

It isn't even on the full snaps by default, so probably not.

If/when it's a package it should be possible to use on both.

So.. has consideration been given to add this package to the snapshots?

As stated before, it wouldn't make it into snapshots. A package is not "in the snapshots" it's in the package system. If someone can make a package from this, that would be great, but so far it doesn't appear that anyone has had the time or inclination to do so.

I have to say I'm finding this mod surprisingly useful. I thought it would be a fun novelty but it's actually giving me useful information about the state of my box. It actually gets surprisingly hot in the middle of the day when I'm not there.  ::)

it would be VERY useful to have this information in a rrd graph on the system tab. it could even be thrown into the processor info.

                                again…it would be VERY useful!

Yes it would, I wish I had the skills to make such a package.

Why not to create a bounty of this packaging?
