[SOLVED] pfSense and X500 - wont boot

  • 1  pfSense
    2  pfSense

    F6 PXE
    Boot:  1
    /boot.config: -h

    FreeBSD/i386 boot
    Default: 0:ad(0,a)/boot/loader

    It gets stuck here….

  • Netgate Administrator

That is the point at which the output switches to the serial console. It's probably booting fine.
Are you booting from a NanoBSD image on CF card? Do you have a PCI graphics card in there to see the bootloader output?

Edit: What I wrote above is wrong!
That's in fact the first thing you expect to see on the serial console after the bios has run.

  • I re-loaded the 2gb image after successfully loading and booting from the 512mb image.
A bad image load at first.  All is working now, thanks!
