      Hi Everyone,

I am running pfSense 2.5.1. I would like to prioritize all OpenVPN tunnel data. I have OpenVPN running in client mode on pfSense. As I am not familiar with traffic shaping or any other features please be detailed in steps for guides.

      Much appreciated!

Give the following Ports a bit more Prio:

        • TCP 443

        • TCP 943

        • UDP 1194

It should be enough if you add them to a clone of the qOthersHigh Queue. That should do it ;-)
The Wizard will help you to establish a traffic shaping. And the config helps you customize it.

        Regards

        /JH

Thanks, is there anyway to do this without traffic shaping? I have used traffic shaping before and queues tend to full really quickly rendering the whole system useless. I find traffic shaping to be the weakest link in pfSense.
