      Cannot get Tivo working through Netgate APU4. Cannot get the titles for the shows. Unable to connect
      to the Tivo servers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

        More information please!  :)

        How are your interfaces connected and configured on the APU? How is the Tivo connected to that? Are you seeing any connectivity at all? Do other devices have an internet connection? On the same interface?

          Steve;

          I ended up I checked bogus and private networks unchecked it on the WAN interface
          And it worked. I will have to look at the address Tivo uses to connect

          Thank you for the reply

            Shouldn't be anything too crazy about TiVos… I've been running TiVos behind pfSense for many many years. Never had a problem connecting to the service or using MRV and other features locally.

              Jimp;

              Do you have bogus and private networks checked? If you do, how is the traffic getting to your Tivo?
              Did you set it up with a rule or did you use traffic shaping? I am new to this and did not find any
              information about Tivo on the forum.

              Thank you for the reply

                Tivos make outbound connections to the mothership.  I, too, have never had to do anything special to get them to work, which is probably why there's no information to be found.  There isn't anything special about them.

                Sounds like you might be going off in the wrong direction with the tivos when you should be looking at basic network config instead.

                There are network tests in the tivo interface.  See what they say.

                  I have them set on my WANs but they do not matter for what TiVo does. TiVo phones home from the LAN out, so configuration of those boxes on the WAN could not affect it.

                    I don't have (and have never had) a tivo.
                    They don't do any UPNP? Something that might require an incoming connection?
                    I agree though. Disabling 'block private networks' should not have made any difference by itself.

                      One of the problems I have found with Tivo is it does not have clear documentation on the ports it uses.
                      Even when you call into support they are unsure as well. Unless I am having a problem unrelated to Tivo
                      when I uncheck the bogus and private networks it works. When I check the boxes the service does not work.
                      If you have a Tivo that is working with those boxes checked then I would like to know how it is possible.

                      Thank you

                        What firewall rules do you have on wan?
                        Do you see hits in the firewall logs when 'block ptivate networks' is set?

                          Yes, both boxes are checked on my WAN.  Like I said, tivo doesn't need anything special.

                          What is your WAN IP address and default gateway IP address in your pfSense?

                          Find your tivo's IP address and check for it in the firewall logs.

                              Thank you for all the suggestions.  I will look at the logs, network and other aspects
                              of the setup and will post anything that will help the next person with Tivo issues.
                              It just does not make alot of sense the issue I am having
