So my setup with this configuration was running around 50-52C with no fan.  Not terrible, but not too great.  I found a nice PWM controlled Silverstone 120mm slim fan for about $10 online.  Now it sits around 32C and is nearly silent.

It's a tight fit, but there's clearance.  I think I might simply zip tie the corners down to the lid to keep it from shifting around, but it seems pretty stable.

          Hi,

          I'm interrested in this device.

Can you tell me what kind of performance should be expected from it?

Packet/s capacity (if you have tested it), or at least WAN2LAN & LAN2WAN throughtput ?

Capable of 1 GBit/s WAN routing with ease.

Packet/s capacity (if you have tested it), or at least WAN2LAN & LAN2WAN throughput ?

Snort or Suricata, Squid & SquidGuard, ClamAV & VPN would be not problem, but please don´t forget,
all the things you install, like packets, and all services that would be activated, are narrowing down the
            entire speed and also throughput.

Together with a SSD and a WiFI card or only with a mSATA it would be a really rocking box together with pfSense.
Available in many different options like shown here in the thread or also only based on the same CPU but more
professional and more available  in many more countries.

              For the Jetway NF9HG-2930
which port are you using as WAN
there are two ports tied together if you make that your LAN do you lose throughput?

One of the both that are not tied together.

No I don´t lose LAN speed then, but this could also be owed to the circumstance that I am using a
Layer3 switch that is delivering nearly wire speed in the entire LAN (VLAN) environment.

All 4 LAN ports are the same on NF9HG-2930, there is a brother of this board named NF9HB-2930 which is almost the same, except the 2 LAN ports tied together which have a special feature called "LAN bypass", so free to take any port to use.

For my build with NF9HG-2930, I give up the Silverstone case and used the M350 case (setup here), I never use any fan, and while my room temperature rises to 30-35 degree, the heat of router is still acceptable under loading.
