      Hello everyone I wanted to know what cards pci express wifi properly support
      pfsense, I found some problems with Atheros chipset boards

        Considering that Atheros are the best supported chipsets on FreeBSD, your experience pretty much sums up the state of WiFi usability on FreeBSD. Get a proper AP with RJ45 and bridge it. (Should it be some SOHO stuff, DD-WRT/OpenWRT support would be a plus there.)

            Well if you want a working Atheros PCIe adapter this works nicely at 2.4 and 5ghz.

            What adapters have you tried? Tplink Atheros cards seem to have issues. Dlink too.
            The Atheros reference design is you best bet as Adriann worked for Atheros and knows the design.

              Get the card shown under the link from @Phishfry that is unbelievable cheap to get and supported.
              If you don´t want to get it, have a look under the links shown in the post from @doktornotor and
              search for a miniPCIe WiFi card that is matching your criteria and then hug it up on an adapter

                model of my pci express wifi adapter is tplink tl-wn781nd
                with this model pfsense have big problem
