System freezes while shutting down

  • I recently installed a clean pfSense 2.2.6 in a PC with 3 PICe NICs.
After install it looks like working properly, but once I need to reboot it freezes while shutting down.

This is how it looks like:

    Anything I can do?

  • What hardware are you using for this box?

If you power cycle the box, does it come back up properly?

  • Rebel Alliance Developer Netgate

You could try setting hw.acpi.handle_reboot=0 on System > Advanced, System Tunables tab.

Otherwise, check for a BIOS update.

  • I just updated pfSense to 2.3 and added that line to System Tunables.
Let's see how it goes now.
