Those errors are from a copy of squid before the upgrade. Probably harmless unless they keep coming back, but if they do, then squid didn't upgrade properly. Remove squid and then install it again.

Yeah, if you have ePub you can usually get it to whatever format you want with Calibre or other converters. Calibre makes everything much easier when it comes to managing books.
