I already linked you to the code - /conf.default/config.xml is the factory config.

That's just it, though. PCI Compliance requires the CC server to have AV, but the AV interferes with the machine all the time and causes all kinds of billable issues. It is FUBAR.

The serial console is disabled in the web configurator (and /boot/loader.conf), but ttyv0 is still activated in /etc/ttys and I cannot disable it, as the file is regenerated on boot. Is there any way to disable the console permanently and stop it from taking over the first serial port?

John is definitely the man, totally helped get my complicated setup with Vlans and trunk ports working.  Thanks again John..  It takes a bit to get your head around it but in the end it is worth it to have a robust network that grows with you.

@johnpoz: I will have to look to the 1k frames at the beginning of the second thing..  As to multiple streams. Are you talking with udp or tcp? TCP. We run it with -i 1which is what i guess causes the problem. Running with -i 5 shows the output correctly.

@Harvy66: PFSense is optimized to be a firewall and router, not an app server. In my experience, doing a speedtest to PFSense uses about 2x the CPU and I get a 5% reduction in speed than testing through PFSense. Testing through PFSense means that that bandwidth is actually doubled since all incoming packets must also go out. This means doing a speedtest to/from PFSense is about 4x more expensive per packet. I don't see there being an issue having an app to do speed tests from pfsense. I know that my unifi USG Pro has an app built in to do speed tests and there are a few other firewall/routers that do the same.

thanks for the response.  I am not at home to try that now but I did put in the static routes and I can still ping 8.8.8.8 and the rest of the entries so I figure it doesn't work.  It really isn't the end of the world if I cannot get it working.  It is more of a why it isn't working.  I figured it would be an easy thing to do, i did it at my parents house on a cheap Dlink router and it worked fine.  Any other ideas?

Ah.  I've never had a PPPoE link before, so that explains that.

What packages do you have installed? Or what services on the firewall do you have enabled?

with pfsense you can have traffic shaping  so it can distribute the bandwidth  accordingly (and if you plan on using plex remotely  believe  me you need it), if you torrent  pfs can handle all the open sessions and will not break a sweat, you can install squidclam AV to have a gateway AV if you are interested  and much much more + x86 cpu can handle much much better workload then  those cheep processors . Oh and btw the biggest advantage is security  and stability

@marvosa: I agree with liontaur.  Give the gaming PC either a static IP or a dhcp reservation and policy route traffic sourced from that IP out WAN1. Thank you! I will research more about dhcp reservation and policy route :)

Uhm. The dhcpd.leases file. Not this. (In addition, this is just a noise cause by some stupid invalid hostname configured on the client.)

It turns out it was neither pfSense of eSXI, my MoCA was the problem. The NAT tables were too small or something because it'd spit out a bunch of NAT errors and flush the state table. I'm bridging the MoCA to pfSense to try and fix this. Thanks for the help, this post could help somebody else in the future.
