    It should be the same.  Ermal mentioned that we might need to upgrade the server from mpd4 to mpd5.  We are looking into it.

    Updated today to the latest version 2.0-BETA4 (i386)built on Mon Nov 15 16:00:39 EST 2010  and now my OPT1 is working again but I have the following error in the dashboard system information section.  Help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    By default, any rules only apply to the interface you select.  When you try to connect to it from your local network, it comes in on LAN, not on WAN.  If you really want to test to see if it is working right, you need to test it from outside your network.

    This should be fixed in the most recent snapshot or the one that is now building.

    That is the package on 1.2.3, not code from 2.0. This topic is for the 2.0 version only.

    I´m stupid! I should have checked some other things first. For some reason our ISP´s primary DNS server is down, removing it and re-booting made the response instant again.

    Sorry for wasting your time.  :-[

    I've added in some lines in the update code for nanobsd so that it copies /boot/loader.conf.local to the newly imaged slice during the update process:

    https://rcs.pfsense.org/projects/pfsense/repos/mainline/commits/ba8e08709a2c4bbb35e1640d7ac744da7e58b6e5

    Of course, for this to work you need to be updating from an image that has it.  I would have included it in the post_upgrade_command file, but the directory name varies depending on which slice it is copying to (not sure if there is a reason for this, though).

    @jimp:

    Are you having a problem? Or just the log entry?

    With a static IP, no action needs to be taken on a hotplug event.

    For DHCP, PPPoE, etc, things need to be reconnected.

    No problem.This is static ip and i see this for fist time in log.

    There was only one of those boxes in 1.2.3 for the bit count.  Technically it was just moved to a different spot when this change was made.

    I switched  to the developers kernel (# tar xzpf /kernels/kernel_Dev.gz -C /boot/ ) and rebooted but it didn't even complete the startup to console menu:

    @Efonne:

    By the way, currently gitsync will only work on regular installs, not nanobsd images because git won't install (don't remember the reason).

    I think it was because of the size of /var, and/or /tmp, it couldn't populate all of the files/directories it wanted there to get the package installed.

    I have same issue, I have remove blocked hosts set to NEVER, disabling Snort interface or service does not clear the block list but rebooting the pfSense does.

    pfSense build 2.0 Beta 4, Thu Nov 11 22:40:13 EST 2010
    Snort Version 1.35 (although GUI still shows 1.34)
