Try using static port option since rtsp is kinda picky on port numbers.
Its the way the protocol works.

Either state the problems you have or upgrade and test yourself.

I just rebooted these firewalls last night so this issue isn't happening at the moment and the logs don't appear to show anything before the reboot so I'll have to look next time.

    Marcello,

I can not install a pfSense VM using XenServer 5.6.

The installation stops with an error:

Fatal trap 9: general protection fault while in kernel mode
    .
    .
      .
    Stopped at pmap_invalidade_cache_range+0x40: clflushl 0(%ebx)

    Is it a hardware problem?

    TIA

    JC

Well the raw character isn't valid, if it's encoded or escaped some way it's fine. For example if it were changed into an XML entity it would be OK, or as I mentioned if the whole field were wrapped up in CDATA tags, or perhaps even if the PSK were base64 encoded. None of those are easy to do at the moment though.

Yes the standard way is to put the public IPs on the firewall and NAT/Port forward  to DMZ hosts. This approach is taken as it is more secure and allows a single DHZ host to appear as several servers.

In your scenario the DMZ must be the public IP block and you simply add rules to route the traffic to the subnet.

I could give a more detailed answer but I've no idea if we are dealing with a contiguous block of IP addresses or some random IPs assigned by your ISP

the -cloning option is no longer supported under FreeBSd 8.x
It should work without the -cloning option

I recall a thread a while back where someone was having a hard time getting to a specific website,

    And then set
Clear invalid DF bits instead of dropping the packets

Under firewall/net and then it worked.

    Here is that thread

I know that other gear works, as between myself and the ISP there has been verification that Cisco gear works with them, as does Mikrotik gear.
In fact, my pfSense box is behind a Mikrotik router right now so that I can use multilink while I try and figure out why pfSense doesn't work.

The hard drive is virtual, within VMWare. The problems are also replicated on a physical disk. Therefore this is not a hardware fault.

I unfortunately rebooted the system and all is well again,
but the logs are gone, portalauth.log only has a few hours of data so i can't backtrack.
I reinstalled a half year ago on an Esxi server, updated along the way upto the 7 may snapshot.
I can investigate further IF it happens again, when there is interest to do so.
    Thanks for the reply.

Then I suggest you do a packet capture of the outgoing web request when it tries to fetch the package list, and look at what it is really doing and seeing.

Shouldn't be anything private in it. Go to Diagnostics > Packet Capture, capture on WAN, filter on port 80, make sure nobody on the LAN is using the web at the time, it should be easy to spot. Load it up in wireshark and look at what it's doing. If you want to let others look at it, upload the capture to cloudshark.org

The system log might have a better error. It's possible that you don't have perl installed, or it's not on properly.

If a reboot doesn't fix it (probably won't), you might try to uninstall lightsquid, squidguard (if you have it), and squid, and then reinstall them in the reverse order: squid first, then  squidguard (if you use it), and finally lightsquid.

I haven't heard of anyone having issues with CARP/HA on current builds. Or the gateway groups/load balancing for that matter.

The cron job to update it only runs once per day. It is not meant to update that fast. The update frequency is measured in days, not minutes/hours.

    Everything can be found here:
    https://github.com/bsdperimeter/pfsense/commits/master

No need to waste extra time for just adding all this again in pfsense auto-updater.
You have to remember, it is just RC and there are changes every day.

    Version: 2.0-RC2 (i386) built on Mon May 30 11:06:53 EDT 2011

Reboot over the GUI does not work (SSH connection still available) and I cannot access any more to the webgui.
Only login via SSH and reboot solve the problem.
