New installation. No internet connection.

Hello everyone. I am new using pfsense. Today I set up my pfsense router and everything went well. It managed to set everything up without a problem, but I don't have an internet connection for some reason.
My modem is directly connected to the WAN of my pfsense router, and the LAN is connected to a switch where I have my other devices. But none have Internet access.
Everything is default, I have not changed anything. The firewall rules seem to be fine.
PS: I managed to install additional packages in pfsense, and I ping 1.1.1.1 and it works. Only my LAN does not have access to the Internet.
Any advice? Thanks.

Are your LAN systems getting correct DHCP addresses?
Because you are able to load pfSense packages the WAN side is likely not the problem.
Are you pinging 1.1.1.1 from the FW? -
@estebansabo if you can ping ip addresses but can’t get to websites then the issue is very likely DNS. Do you have the DNS Resolver service running and listening on your LAN interface? If you use a computer and type “nslookup Google.com” in a command prompt/terminal window, what do you get back?

@andyrh Thanks for such a quick response.
Apparently I only have internet on my pfsense router. I'm going to: diagnose - ping and there I receive a response from 1.1.1.1 and from google.com
WAN is DHCP
And LAN static.I don't know if it's something weird but my WAN ip is generic. 192.168.5.3.
The access ip to my modem is 192.168.5.1

@gabacho4 Ok I will check. Everything is default btw.

@gabacho4 dns request time up.

The access ip to my modem is 192.168.5.1That's fine as long as the LAN is using a different subnet.
Go to Firewall > NAT > Outbound and make sure it has created auto rules for the LAN subnet on the WAN.

That looks fine, I'd expect it to work.
How exactly are you testing from a LAN side client? How is it failing?

Sorry to disappear. I was slammed yesterday. So couple things.
- What IP address is your PC being assigned?
- Can you confirm that the assigned DNS server is your pfSense LAN interface (192.168.2.1)?
If you are using Windows, type ipconfig /all in a command prompt window.
- Everything else seems normal to me. Can you give us a screenshot of your DNS Resolver settings as well?
-
@gabacho4 192.168.2.32 is the ip that i have on my pc.
Maybe my isp modem is the problem? is just a simple fiber modem.
-
@stephenw10 my modem has a single wan port and is connected directly to my pfsense router. The LAN port of my pfsense router is connected to a switch, and provides connection to all my devices. But no internet access.
maybe my isp is blocking something?
-
@estebansabo what is the dns server that your computer is using? It should be displayed using the command I gave you.

Saw a post from him earlier on the opnsense forum.
He's having the same trouble with it. -
Probably a DNS issue. The error the client is showing is probably saying exactly that....
