You have not experienced Shakespeare until you have read him in the original Klingon.

                    Hmm ..

I can't reach http://www.pfsense.com:8080/projects/pfsense/ .. it just sits there and tries to load the page. I want to contribute to the french version, any idea why the site's not accessible?

Pootle is back up after python took a dump all over itself.

Have I ever mentioned how much I dislike Python?  No?  Well I hate it.

                      Enjoy the pootle server.

Its not down for me, but the server is slooowwww.  I'll register and work with the spanish translation, I lived in Argentina for a few years, but not a native so it should fairly accurate.

Yes, it is sometimes slow.  It's python.  I need to figure out a way to make it faster using lighttpd + some kind of python cache.  Anyone have any ideas?

i think i'll try to translate a bit of the german part
(my english teacher wants us to read/write/translate as much english as possible)

Is there any way to see how the strings are in the context?
i.e. "in" is probably "eingehen" (inbound) but there is just no way to tell without knowing in what context it's used.

also is there any way to actually load the not yet finished version on a test pf?

                                        thanks

You have to look at the .po file. It will show you in which file the fragment is located. The "problem" is if for example "in" is used at page 1,3 and 5 the translation has to fit the context of this fragment everywhere. I think you should be able to upload your translated file via ssh to a head version of pfSense. Everytihng that is not yet translated will still be shown in english if you switch to an uncompleted language file I think.
