Running in a jail??

Hi, I was thinking to myself I really want to run pfsense as my router but, I only have one computer to use as a server right now. I also use it as a file server, mail server, and webhost. I was read the wiki about building a custom image when it hit me. Before the image is turnned into a iso or some other type it seems to be a live filesys. So I was wonder if it would be possible to run it in a jail and still have it function.
