Please teel me how is max speed wifi card : download / upload ftp

i'm going to change my WAP1963 to software ap pfSense + Senao 5212 Atheros 5354MP Aries2 High Power + PIGTAIL u.fl-N, and i must know, is it right change :).

in my network on the night is WAP1963: ~500kB/s // ~300kB/s

I have 2 pfSense boxes separated by 700mt with a 5,8Ghz turbo link using CM9 cards. FTP transfer at around 5,5Mbytes/sec.
