      Fetching pfSense-base-2.3.2_1.txz: …. done
      pkg: https://pkg.pfsense.org/pfSense_v2_3_2_amd64-core/All/pfSense-base-2.3.2_1.txz: Operation timed out

      Locking package pfSense-kernel-pfSense... done.

I'm just now getting this error.  2.3.2-p1 Release.

I was doing just fine until I installed an OpenVPN client connection to PIA-Texas.  Disabling the VPN client doesn't work.  Rebooting doesn't work.  Literally everything has been fine until I configured the OpenVPN client and then added the "OpenVPN" widget to the dashboard.

        • The dashboard can no longer check for updates:  "Unable to check for updates"
        • The dashboard "Installed Packages" widget shows:  "No packages installed. Packages can be installed here."
        • System –> Package Manager --> Installed Packages shows:  "Unable to retrieve package information."
        • System --> Package Manager --> Available Packages shows:  "Unable to retrieve package information."

Sounds like you must have screwed up your policy routing, NAT, or DNS when you installed your PIA config.

            The same problem here.

Updated to 2.3.2-p1 yesterday. Everything seemed to be OK after update. Today it is "Unable to check for updates". "pkg update" returns Internal Server Error.

Same for me. Yesterday all was fine and today "Unable to check for updates". Nothing changed on my machine since the update 4 days ago.

                    Same issue here.
And it's not related to network connectivity:

Exact same issues! It was working two days back but not today.. AFAIK, the only configuration I did on pfsense was enabling squid (transparent) + squidguard.

It looks like it was fixed. Update checking/upgrade both work for me right now.

Yes, it should be working fine now.
It appears there was an issue with the pkg servers which has now been resolved.

It must have been something with the pfsense servers, I was having the same issue, and it is working fine this morning

Just to update.  I rebooted my pfsense box and then tried the update.  It works now.
