I like to try and do my part to make the forum as useful/easy as possible for people to search, but on the new forum I can't figure out how to edit the subject/mark it solved.

Hit the 3 small dots at the bottom right of your post (just next to reply and quote) and "edit" your post. Or/And add the tag "solved" to it.
