I've spent quite some time trying to configure WAN link fail-over. And the thing that I completely missed is that default gateway fail over is a -separate- setting in a completely different place.

The Wiki page https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Multi-WAN is very clear on how to configure things, but only when I found the remark on the default gateway fail-over on http://opensourceforu.com/2016/08/configuring-pfsense-dual-wan-failover-mode/ (at the end) I realised that this needs to be done as well.

I think the pfSense documentation page could be much clearer on this. Perhaps copy the entire section from that second page? I am pretty sure many people have been stung by this.

Thanks in any case for a terrific product. It was my first time using it, and I loved it! I might just drop my not-built-by-me for firewall solutions  :)
