      I have two (2) netgate xg-7100 appliance and i am getting trouble configuring the option interface.

      ix0 port on each device i assign ip address for the same network but still cant ping?

      any idea?

        Do the interfaces show as UP in Status > Interfaces? At the correct link speed?

        Are they connected directly of via a switch? Do you see link LEDs?

        What are you using to connect them with? DAC cable, Fibre module etc.

              The Link sink up using Fiber 10g i assign ip address on the Fiber interface but its not pingable

                Do you firewall rules to allow ICMP traffic on each end?

                    It's easy to set them to TCP only by mistake.

                    You should see block entries in the firewall log if that's the case though.

                      Thanks i can ping the interface and because i am using it as a router i turn off packet filter.

                      i changed the parent interface for WAN to option1 (ixo) on both netgate appliance.

                        I have Fiber 10G module install and the line rate report the correct speed, do you no the actual throughput for the netgate 7100 i am using it as a Router!

                          It depends what you're forwarding of course. It's not something I have tested myself (or is often used) but there are some numbers for forwarding only on the product page:
