Trying to configure my APC BR1000MS in NUT Package- Driver not found?
-
I have an APC BR1000MS which I know is supported because my co-worker has this exact model is able to get it up and running just using the regular local USB, regular HID selection
I always get stuck at UPS monitor demon pending for the status, eventually, it says failed to retrieve status, I'm not sure if I need to specify the driver because its showing in the system logs driver not found?

What's strange here is that the other package APCupsd is able to see it perfectly fine:

Any thoughts? I'm desperate to get this to work

@spacey - have you tried rebooting the firewall yet? The last I tried to connect up a USB based UPS with NUT I ran into the same issues - a reboot ended up fixing it. Hope this helps.

@tman222 that I have not tried (who would of thought right?) I got pretty frustrated because this is my second UPS and it was having the same issue. BUT do you know about NUT? Because there is a separate driver for APC under USB or so I think looking at their site I just don’t know if that could be it. I mean the other package detected it fine without a reboot.

I actually use NUT as well with a APC UPS - however, mine was not supported via USB so I bought a network interface card for it instead and NUT connects to it now via SNMP. If a reboot doesn't fix it, maybe check out this thread as well / post your issue in there:
