Easyrule not working with pfsense+ via command line.
-
I am trying to add some firewall rules via command line on the pfsense+ router but couldn't make it work.
When I ssh to the machine and check for the easyrule tool in the terminal, it does nothing. It somehow works in the pfsense but not in pfsense+.
Is there something I am missing? or pfsense+ doesn't support this functionality?Getting nothing on the terminal when try to use the easyrule command.
Getting the easyrule thing on the UI (Hover message coming over the cursor).

@siddharth_yadav I would say this is the problem

@johnpoz Hello John, thanks for giving the link. Should I consider upgrading my pfsense+ version or do I need to update the files manually?

@siddharth_yadav its looks like the target is 22.01, so you could wait for that to come out - or you could prob run the dev version. Or didn't look into a lot of detail if you could just apply the patch from that redmine.

@johnpoz Thanks John. Really appreciate the help! I will wait for the update then

I had the same issue after updating to 21.05.2.
For my use case the easyrule script is a somewhat critical need. I have never applied a manual patch on pfsense before, but this one was relatively easy.
I basically took the new easyrule script from the redmine, and dropped it in usr/local/bin. (replacing the previous easyrule). And it works fine now.
