    How do you change the hostname via cli, I used ee to try to make the change in /etc/hosts to 10.30.71.1 pfSenseLab.home.arp pfSenseLab but, after reboot is was changed back to 192.168.1.1 pfSense.home.arp pfSense.

      @nasheayahu

      pfSense is a GUI based router firewall.
      So, use the GUI ( 😊 ).

      All, this means every config file, like /etc/hosts, are created upon boot or system GUI config only.
      You should not modify them manually.

      The entire system config is read from /cf/conf/config.xml upon boot. Go have a look.

      No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
      Edit : and where are the logs ??
