      @JonathanLee that is not "ntp" that is edge doing something that edge does - prob not good for your privacy ;)

      Stands for new tab page I believe - just like ms to use some name everyone knows as something else for their own use..

        @JonathanLee
        Yep, that is Microsoft giving the 'New Tab Page' to an internet host. Just what everyone wanted....

        I don't use Windows, those days have long-gone. I keep a 1L PC just for 'emergency use' of Windows, if I have something that must use it for whatever reason. Probably gets turned-on 3 or 4 times a year.

        Windows has become a virus that pulls data from you and serves you crap in return, even adverts, direct to the OS. Not exactly what me imagined in the days of XP, or 3.11.

          just for 'emergency use' of Windows

          In case of emergency, break Windows. 😉

          I run Linux here.

          PfSense running on Qotom mini PC
          i5 CPU, 4 GB memory, 32 GB SSD & 4 Intel Gb Ethernet ports.
          UniFi AC-Lite access point

          I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...

            What OS do you recommend everything is pulling my data even when cloud is set to no. It's just taking my data anyway.

              For many, the OS we use is what is forced upon us. For my career we used a highly bespoke version of Windows (with zero data to Microsoft or anyone else) with Ubuntu mandated for Linux, plus a scattering of other bespoke proprietary OSes. Security was everything.

              Now based at home it is macOS, Ubuntu (some Debian) and freeBSD for pfSense. The tendrils of all things 'nix.

              Nobody should voluntarily use Windows - there has to be a clearly defined reason or directive to use it. Even then, it should only be used in the 'cleanest' way possible and only when required.

              ☕️

              (clearly this is an opinion piece)

                @RobbieTT I kind of like Windows it was a big upgrade over MSDOS 3.11 or DOSSHELL. But really it's like non stop Azure use even for home use now. Windows ME had pinball
