WireGuard Peer Generator
-
Has anyone thought of adding a Peer generator to Wireguard in PFSense. (Like the one inONSens. Yep I know don't say that word here)
this would make is really easy for creating multi peers for the Road warriors.
I was thinking this would be a great addition to help with the wireguard Clients.
I have seen this in OPNSense and is a really good simple way to cate multi Peers. -
This 100% Would be great to see this get added. Maybe as a package add on?
For now I am using a script on my local Linux workstation to generate the peers. Would be great if this can be done directly on pfsense.

@rebootnz Obviously this isn't in pfSense but what I do is use the windows Wireguard client.
Click add tunnel (I think it's actually add empty tunnel or something like that), this will generate the public and private keys.
Just use them in the pfSense config. But yes, this would be a nice addition.

Ohhhh. This is indeed a very nice idea.
Although I am currently generating all my keys on a command line and am managing all my wireguard account on a spreadsheet file, something like this could be a good quality-of-life improvement for Wireguard administrators.

Yeah I also would love to see this, would be extremely useful. Considering how reliable WireGuard has been on devices, I use it for road warrior setups as a 24/7 connection, but would be super nice to have the configs built for me.

I have just install and is up and runing pf sense CE in my infrastrature. But regrading WireGuard with all the user I have is impossible to generate peer for every user on manual base.
So I create a new Ubuntu Server with pivpn with wireguard, then a port foward to that server.
At this point I have 700mb download and 650mb upload using wireguard and this configuration.
I know this is stupid, but creating peer manual for many users is also stupid. If someone convert the pivpn files to pfsense would be great.
