Error installing packages
when i try to install any package it fails on verifying the download and never makes it as far as actually installing the package. any ideas? point me in the right direction. i know my way around firewalls, big and small, but am now to this particular system.
I just replicated this. We'll check it out.
We are making final adjustments in this area too. ;)
cool. hopefully i wont need to reinstall as i'm putting this machine into production tomorrow morning. :)
Hello, new to the pfSense forums.
Im not sure if this is the same error im getting, but mine states…
Downloading package configuration file... done.
Saving updated package information... done.
Downloading ntop and its dependencies... done.
Checking for successful package installation... failed!
That is while installing ntop. I installed it fine last week, but after playing, I reloaded pfSense on the same machine, same settings, but now I cannot install it.
Anyone know whats going on? Thanks in advance! ;D
same problem as mentioned before in the thread.
Have you found a solution? I have had the same problem mentioned above since I installed PFSense in december.
EDIT: I upgraded to the latest version of PFSense and the problem is still there.
The packagesystem is undergoing some changes atm. Please be patient. There is work going on.
I am brand new to pfsense and am having the same issue installing extra packages. Is there a way to get them and install them manually via cli?
No. Everyone be patient! Thanks
Well, I'm having the same behavior here. I'm running on 1.0-BETA1-TESTING-SNAPSHOT-2-8-06 version, and I never had this problem before.
Do you have any advices? should I make a fresh install??
Thanks in advance people!!
Working fine here:
Writing configuration... done.
Try reinstalling from scratch.
Works for me. You have to download the snapshot version from the sullrich directory, not the 1.0.
well, where can i get this version?
thank scott, http://www.pfsense.com/~sullrich/1.0-BETA1-TESTING-SNAPSHOT-2-8-06/ is ok, installing packages work ;)
